This Silk PLA is amazing – Semdon tri-color makes your printer a star!

Hey, it’s Jon, “The Net Guy,” and today I’m excited to showcase the Semdon three-color PLA filament for your 3D printer. This isn’t just any traditional 3D printer filament; it comes with a unique twist. The filament actually changes color as you turn it, thanks to its three-color scheme. This means you can produce stunning multi-color prints with just one spool of filament on your single-color printer!

I’ve spent the weekend printing a range of items from dragons to octopuses, even dragon eggs, and tools. One of my favorites is a vase I created for my wife. It’s a vibrant green, red, or blue—depending on how you look at it—showcasing the color-changing capability of the filament. Semdon offers many different color combinations; the one I used is red, green, and blue, which appears more like purple, green, and blue in certain lights.

While talking about its printing capabilities, I had zero flow or feeding issues, and I can confidently say there were no failed prints during my entire weekend of use. I went through almost half a spool without a hitch! One thing I can guarantee is that you’ll want to keep this filament handy because it’s so visually appealing that you’ll find yourself using your printer more frequently.

Now, it’s important to note that this filament does come at a slightly higher price compared to traditional PLA. This is due to the more complex manufacturing process involved in producing it. However, the quality and aesthetic appeal you get in return are worth the investment.

I’m also looking forward to trying other variations from Semdon, particularly their rainbow filaments that change colors as you print. This feature allows for multi-color layered prints, making your creations even more dynamic.
